SHRI MANOJ KUMAR TIWARI, MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT & PRESIDENT OF BHARATIYA JANTA PARTY, DELHI, GAVE AWAY THE AWARDS FOR BEST DESIGN AND DISPLAY STANDS DURING 12th EDITION OF INDIAN FASHION JEWELLERY & ACCESSORIES
Greater Noida – 5TH July, 2019 -Prestigious Ajay Shankar Memorial Awards for the best design and display stands were distributed today in a colourful ceremony at 12th edition of Indian Fashion Jewellery & Accessories show being held at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida.
Shri Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Member of Parliament & President BJP Delhi, gave away the awards to the selected participants in a colourful ceremony held followed by cultural performances.
Shri Ravi K. Passi, Chairman – EPCH, Shri Vikas Manaktala, President of the fair, Shri Rakesh Kumar, Chairman-IEM and Director General – EPCH, Shri Lalit Thukral, Vice Chairman, IGFA, Shri Sagar Mehta, Vice Chairman-EPCH and prominent members of Committee of Administration were present during the ceremony.
While distributing the awards, Shri Tiwari said that this is an important day because Modi Government presented budget in the Lok Sabha after winning the election for second time.
Shri Tiwari further said that he got mesmerized to see the products of fashion jewellery & accessories on display. He said that Modi Government who is very keen to work for MSME sector and after visiting this exhibition, he realized that this expo is already working in that direction. The handicrafts sector is not only increasing exports from the country but also creating employment for a large number of artisans and craftspersons.
While welcoming the Chief Guest, Shri Rakesh Kumar, Chairman – IEML and Director General of EPCH congratulated Shri Manoj Tiwari for resounding victory of his party in the Lok Sabha elections. He also wished him further growth in politics in future.
Shri Kumar further said that the arts and crafts of India are known from the ancient time for intricate workmanship, exquisite nature and exclusive designs. Each state of India have distinct nature of arts and crafts produced at the village level for many centuries. More than 70 lakhs artisans engaged in producing various types of items are the backbone of the handicrafts sector.
The awards were given in two categories i.e. Fashion Jewellery and Fashion Accessories. One gold, two silver and two bronze awards were given in both the categories.
The Ajay Shankar Memorial Awards were instituted in the memory of late Mr. Ajay Shankar, former Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) who was one of the major motivators for establishing this fair.

In Fashion Accessories category :
M/s Antake Agencies Pvt. Ltd, Noida won the Gold award in Fashion accessories category. Ms. Poonam Sharma received the award [ photo 6]
M/s Mir Handicrafts Pvt. Ltd, Delhi also won the silver award in fashion accessories category. Mr. Iqbal Mir received the award [ photo 7]
M/s Sini Designs Pvt. Ltd, Gautam Budh Nagar won the Silver award in fashion category. Ms. Neetu Singh received the award [ photo 8]
M/s N.C. Niddle Craft, Noida won the bronze award in fashion accessories category. Mr. Vipin and Ms. Mona Guglani received the award [ photo 9].
M/s Siddharth Organisation Ltd, Jaipur also won the bronze award in fashion accessories category. Mr. Siddarth Kukkar received the award [ photo 10].
Apart from above, prominent overseas buyers who are regularly sourcing from India were also felicitated. They included Mr. Saraceno Claudio – M/s. Colori De Mare Srl, Italy, Ms. Roula – M/s. 4 Queens, Greece, Ms. Mencia – M/s. Alibey, Spain, Mr. Aouni Abdul Rahim – M/s. Urnina, Lebanon,Mr. Martin Tunis – M/s. Benjamin International, USA, Mr. Dimitris Savvas – M/s. Ioannidou Import, Greece and Mr. Rakesh Khandelwal – M/s. Ricki Designs, USA.
Availing the opportunity of presence of Shri Manoj Tiwari, MP& President of BJP Delhi, whose party always stands for providing skill development and self employment, certificates to qualifiers of 1st batch of 3 month course in “Handicrafts Export Management” were also given by him. This is an education initiative of EPCH to motivate young children to join handicraft business.
