Hyderabad, November 9th, 2017: A three-day, HEAL Foundation’s 5th National Health Writers and Editors Convention was inaugurated by Sh. C Laxma Reddy, Health & Medical Minister, Government of Telangana this afternoon. Over 70+ Health Journalists, Writers, Bloggers from across the country are participating in this Knowledge and Capacity Building Convention to
deliberate, debate, disseminate and discuss about the new challenges, solutions, trends, technological advancements and happening of the Indian Healthcare Industry.
Delivering the inaugural address, Sh. C Laxma Reddy said, “The Telangana Government has scaled up public health services and extensive efforts are on to ensure all the State-run hospitals have adequate infrastructure support like modern beds, medicines, new surgical equipment and hospital linen. The State government has taken complete responsibility to identify pregnant women, supplying them with proper nutrition, making sure that they attend their monthly check-up with the government doctors and provide transport to and from the hospital to mothers. Apart from all this, the government is also providing Rs. 12,000 to each mother in three phases, an additional Rs. 1,000 for mothers if the child delivered is a girl and the special KCR kit, which contains all basic requirements for an infant. Our focus is to further improve the management of public healthcare services. With quality private players of healthcare and healthcare professionals, Hyderabad is now counted among the best health destinations of India. We are committed to increase public health care spending to ensure broad and adequate health-care coverage in the state.”
