Election Commission should take sue-motto cognizance of sting on present and former Parliamentarians telecast on 03.04.2019 by newly launched Hindi news-channel of TV9
Newly launched Hindi news-channel TV9 Bharatvarsh inaugurated on 31.03.2019 by the Prime Minister at Ashoka Hotel (New Delhi) has in its day-long telecast on 03.04.2019 shown sting-footage of many existing and former Parliamentarians openly confessing spent of crores of rupees by each one of them in last Lok Sabha elections contested by them, being ready to accept heavy cash for contesting 2019-elections to the Lok Sabha.
Election Commission of India ECI should sue-motto take cognizance of the day-long telecast summoning TV channel to submit raw TV-footage of complete sting for immediate examination to be conducted well before start of Lok Sabha elections. ECI should also ask all other concerned agencies including like Income Tax Department, police-authorities and others to start their own separate probes in the matter.
Immediate stringent-most action should be taken against the those found guilty. In case TV-reporting is found untrue, necessary action can be taken even against the TV channel.
