 Two robbers arrested  Nine live cartridges recovered  One TSR seized The staff of PS New Friends Colony of Southeast District has arrested two robbers Rajiv Kumar and Umesh. With their arrest, nine live cartridges and a TSR have been recovered from their possession. INCIDENT:- On 13-04-2021, a PCR call was received at PS New Friends Colony regarding robbery. The complainant who is a constable in Indian Army alleged that he was going to join his duty at Dappar, Punjab from his village in Rajasthan by bus. He reached at Sarai Kale Kha bus terminal at 1:00 A.M on 13-04-2021. While he was waiting for the bus to reach Kashmere Gate, an auto stopped before him in which two passengers were also sitting on the back seat. The auto driver said he would drop him at Kashmere Gate. The complainant sat in the auto. Soon after, the rider took the auto to an isolated space and stopped it. All of them asked the complainant to hand over all his belongings. On opposing them, the complainant was beaten and robbed with his bag containing 10 live cartridges of 7.6 mm pistol, uniform and his ID card. The accused persons fled away from the spot. Accordingly, on the statement of the complainant, a case FIR No- 133/21 dated 13.04.2021 u/s 394/34 IPC was registered at PS NFC and investigation was taken up. TEAM & OPERATION :- Sensing the gravity of offence, a dedicated team comprising of SI Vishnu Dutt, HC Gabru Ct. Ramkishan and Ct. Baldev led by Inspr. Suman Kumar SHO/PS NF Colony under the supervision of ACP/ NF Colony was constituted to nab the culprits. The team met the victim and discussed the descriptions of the suspects. The team analyzed CCTV footages of the camera installed at the place of incident. With the help of CCTV footage, the team succeeded in identifying the number of the auto. Acting on to the clue received, the team rushed to the address of the owner and took him in custody. The owner was examined wherein he stated that Rajiv, brother-in-law of one of his known rides the auto on rent. The team conducted raid at the residence of accused Rajiv in Khizrabad village but he was absconding. The brother-in-law of accused Rajiv told that he is a resident of village Jeevanpur, Distt – Mainpuri, U.P. Thereafter, the team raided at his residence in Mainpuri but all left in vain. The team technically worked on the call details of accused Rajiv. The team obtained numerous call details of the connected numbers and identified his new mobile number. On the basis of location obtained, the team conducted a raid in village Yakubpur, Noida and after sincere efforts accused Rajiv was successfully apprehended. On his instance, his associate Umesh was also arrested from Khizrabad Village. With their arrest, one auto used in commission of offence and 9 live cartridges on their instance have been recovered from their possession. In addition to it, the team is making its utmost efforts to nab their associate. INTERROGATION:- On sustained interrogation, accused Rajiv revealed that he is addicted to alcohol and drugs. He used to ride an auto as per him it was not sufficient for him for his livelihood and satiate his quest for liquor in parallel. So to meet his requirements, he started committing crimes to earn quick money. On sustained interrogation, accused Umesh disclosed that he is illiterate. He is also addicted to alcohol and drugs. So to satiate his urge for alcohol and drugs, he planned to rob the passengers with his associate. RECOVERY :- 1. Nine live cartridges 2. One TSR PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS :- 1. Accused Rajiv Kumar s/o Ram Swaroop R/o Village Jeevanpur, Distt-Mainpuri, U.P, age 28 yrs has studied up to 12th class. He was an auto rider. He is addicted to alcohol and drugs. So to fulfill his addiction, he committed robbery. No previous involvement has been found against him. 2. Accused Umesh s/o Shripal R/o Village – Sirki, , Distt-Badaun, U.P age 22 yrs is illiterate. He was living in Khizrabad. He is addicted to alcohol and drugs. So to fulfill his addiction, he committed robbery. No previous involvement has been found against him. . (R.P. MEENA) IPS DY.
