Delhi-A CONTAINER TRANSPORTING HUGE AMOUNT OF ILLICIT LIQOR CAUGHT
BY STAFF OF PS MADAWALI, EAST DISTRICT INCIDENT
On dated 16.05.2022, at 11:30 PM, on the basis of a secret information, a team of PS Mandawali consisting of SI Sanjeet and HC under the close supervision of Inspector Kashmiri Lal intercepted a container near Akshardham Metro Station which was coming from CWG Village side. The container was being checked by the staff, meanwhile two more persons came in a car claiming to be the custodian of the container. They claimed that the container carrying mattresses and other raw material. On checking it was found that though the container was apparently loaded with mattresses and raw material. However, on thorough checking it was found that there was a secret door which was opening from the back of the driver seat. Accordingly, this door was opened and found that it was full of illicit liquor. On checking, total 350 cartons of illicit liquor including 75 cartons of beer cans were recovered from the secret storage of the container. On verification, the Haryana number plate displayed on the container was also found fake. Truck driver, helper along with two other persons who were claiming themselves as the custodian of the container, was apprehended. They have been identified as Ram Karan Singh r/o Savlodaladkhani, District Sikkar, Rajasthan, (Driver), Satpal Singh r/o District Nagor, Rajasthan, (Helper), Danny r/o Matiyala Ext., Uttam Nagar, Delhi, Rupesh Gupta r/o Laxmi Nagar. Accordingly, a case was registered and all the four persons were arrested
INTERROGATION
On interrogation, they revealed that they were illegally transporting the illicit liquor by hiding it within the mattresses kept in the container so as to misguide the enforcement agencies like excise and police etc. Danny and Rupesh Gupta disclosed that they were escorting the container to get it safely across the borders and for which they were getting Rs. 50000/- for the same. PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS: 1. Ram Karan Singh r/o Savlodaladkhani, District Sikkar, Rajasthan, age 46 years, (Driver) 2. Satpal Singh r/o District Nagor, Rajasthan, age-46 years. (Helper) 3. Danny r/o Matiyala Ext., Uttam Nagar, Delhi, age 33 years, 4. Rupesh Gupta r/o West Guru Anghad Nagar, Laxmi Nagar, age-50 years
RECOVERY
1. 350 cartoons of illicit liquor including 75 cartoons of can beer, 2. One container, 3. Fake number plate 4. Original number plate, 5. Car used by Danny and Rupesh, 6. 196 mattresses
